Mission:
To provide for a coordinated approach to all intergovernmental relations and activities of Anoka County. Insuring that a liaison relationship is cultivated and maintained with federal, state elected officials, state agencies, metropolitan agencies, local governments and employees. To provide direct communication with the County Board and Anoka County staff on emerging issues, status of legislation and matters related to intergovernmental programs.
Purpose:
Responsible for development of county legislative platform, monitoring legislation that impacts Anoka County and serve as point of contact with legislators.
Responsibilities include:
- Direct and coordinate Intergovernmental Relations.
- Work as liaison with federal and state elected officials, state agencies, metropolitan agencies, and local governments.
- Develop and implement County legislative activities, coordinate with other counties and organizations.
