Special Event Permit

Special Event Permits are required for any parades, running or cycling races, exhibitions, festivals, etc. that occur on Anoka County roadways. The main purpose of an Special Event Permit is to provide standards for traffic control, to ensure the safety of all participants and the traveling public.

How to Apply

Advanced planning is the key component to special events. Approval by the Transportation Committee and County Board is required before any permit will be issued. Please allow at least six to eight weeks for the application process.

  • Event Permit: $50*

*The cost of traffic control is the responsibility of the permit holder.
