Community Healthy Eating Work

  • Efforts in this strategy are focused on policy, system, and environmental changes that support healthy eating behaviors.
  • The highest priority for this strategy is to address the health disparities and inequities that exist within the community.

To accomplish the work of community healthy eating, Anoka County SHIP has formed a partnership with the University of Minnesota - Extension. This partnership allows SHIP to access Extension's resource base, host SNAP-Ed education for partners, and take a comprehensive approach for partners through "train the trainer" and direct education teaching models.
