We employ over 134 sworn law enforcement officers and over 89 detention positions with an office total of more than 275 members.

  1. Deputy Sheriff


    The Anoka County Sheriff's Office seeks individuals who are exceptionally qualified, highly motivated and who are interested in a career in law enforcement. 

    Candidates must possess a two or four-year degree in law enforcement (or related field) and have successfully completed the Skills Program.  Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed by the Minnesota Peace Officer Standards and Training Board. 

    Deputies are responsible for general law enforcement duties including but not limited to:   enforcement, apprehension, investigation, conflict resolution, civil process, evidence collection, court testimony and court and transportation services.

  2. Detention Deputy


    The Anoka County Sheriff's Office seeks individuals who are exceptionally qualified, highly motivated and who are interested in a career in corrections. 

    Candidates must be 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma. College degree in a related field and/or two years of related experience preferred. 

    Detention Deputies perform duties that involve extensive inmate contact within the Anoka County Jail Facility and Court Security Unit.
