County Commissioner Vacancy
On June 11, 2019, the Anoka County Board called a special election for Anoka County Commissioner (District 6) to fill the vacancy created following the resignation of Rhonda Sivarajah. Election dates and key timelines for the special election are included below.
Lino Lakes City Council Vacancy
On November 12, the Lino Lakes City Council called a special election for councilmember at-large to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Rob Rafferty (effective 12/31/19). A special general election will take place on February 11, 2020 in conjunction with the special general election for Anoka County Commissioner (District 6). The candidate filing period for the special election is from December 3-17.
