Housing & Redevelopment Authority

The mission of the Anoka County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (ACHRA), in accordance with MN Statute, is to provide a sufficient supply of adequate, clean and safe dwellings in order to protect the safety, health, morals and welfare of the citizens of Anoka County; to clear and redevelop blighted areas; to remedy the shortage of housing for low- and moderate-income residents; to provide housing for people of all incomes. 

The ACHRA was formed in December 1994 by adoption of a resolution by the Anoka County Board of Commissioners pursuant to a special law adopted by the Legislature in 1978; and pursuant to the MN Statute, Chapter 469. The ACHRA was established to provide low and moderate-income housing, assist with the removal of slum and blight, development, redevelopment and economic development activities.
