Mission Statement
The mission of the Jail Division is to provide secure, safe, and humane confinement to individuals legally committed to the jail.
Jail
One of the primary duties of the Sheriff's Office is the management of the Anoka County Jail Division. The Jail Division is a 238-bed facility. We house primarily non-sentenced inmates in a combination of direct supervision and remote supervision housing units. Jail Division staff members strive to provide programs and services that are designed to meet the individual problems and needs of the detainees in a cost effective and efficient manner. The Jail Division shall operate in a manner that meets or exceeds state and national standards.
To search for a person currently in custody or recently released from custody, use the Inmate Locator.
Warrants
The Jail Division also includes the Sheriff's Office Warrants Unit. Each year nearly 11,000 warrants are issued or cleared by the personnel assigned to the Warrants Unit. For information on Anoka County warrants, call 763-422-7500. Information on any other warrant issued in Minnesota must be obtained from the jurisdiction issuing the warrant.
You can also use the Online Warrant Search to view public information regarding individuals who have an active arrest warrant.
