ACTION ITEMS
All action items were unanimous.
Improvements Planned at Three County Parks
The Anoka County Board of Commissioners authorized a Legacy grant agreement for three projects within the county’s regional parks system. The first project is a $1 million wave pool reconstruction and asset management at Bunker Beach Water Park in Coon Rapids. The second involves the allocation of $350,000 for upgrading interpretive displays at Wargo Nature Center in Lino Lakes. The third is purchasing a parcel of land for $315,000 that will expand the Rum River Central Regional Park in Ramsey. To view video on these items, click HERE.
Bids Rejected for Bunker Hills Trails, Bunker Beach Parking Lot Reconstruction
The board rejected two bids for trail reconstruction at Bunker Hills Regional Park and parking lot reconstruction at Bunker Beach Water Park. Both bids came in higher than expected, so the county is going to wait for a more favorable bid climate and rebid the projects at that time.
