May Proclaimed Mental Health Month in Anoka County
The board adopted a resolution proclaiming May as Mental Health Month in Anoka County. Denise Kirmis, Anoka County Behavioral Health and Adult Services manager, provided information to the board about mental health and talked about resources available to people who are dealing with mental health concerns. Also during the presentation, it was noted that the Mental Wellness Campaign for Anoka County is hosting the 13th Annual 5K for Mental Wellness, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 4 at Bunker Hills Regional Park, pavilion number 3. Right of Way Acquired for Traffic Signal in Blaine

Partnership Agreement Reached with MnDOT
The board adopted a resolution authorizing Anoka County to enter into a master partnership with MnDOT. Hunting Permit Program for County Parks Approved
To help control deer populations in Bunker Hills Regional Park, Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Parks Reserve and Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park, the board adopted a resolution allowing the issuance of archery hunting permits. Those who would like to apply for a permit can do so at anokacountyparks.com or visit the main Parks office at Bunker Hills Activity Center, 550 Bunker Lake Blvd. NW, Andover. Those who apply for a permit and do not obtain one receive preference points, so if they reapply in subsequent years their chances of being selected for a permit increase. Contract Approved for Correctional Health Services
The board authorized the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office and Anoka County Corrections to enter into a contract for correctional health services and DetainEMR software with Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc. and its partner corporation, Advanced Inmate Medical Management.
