Gifts Accepted for MedLink Luncheon
The board accepted monetary donations to the Anoka County Transportation Division Transit Office, for the purpose of funding the Sept. 28, 2021 MedLink Volunteer Luncheon. MedLink coordinates volunteers who generously give their times and vehicles to provide rides to Anoka County residents. Viking, Rum River Boulevards to be Improved
The board approved a professional services contract with WSB engineering for design services related to intersection improvements at Viking Boulevard and Rum River Boulevard in the City of Oak Grove. Construction on this project is slated for 2024. For more information on this item, click HERE.
Left Turn Lane Improvements to be Completed on Bunker Lake Boulevard
The board approved a joint powers agreement with the City of Andover for left turn lane improvements at Bunker Lake Boulevard and Martin Street, and associated pavement preservation treatments on Bunker Lake Boulevard between Crosstown Boulevard and Hanson Boulevard in Andover. Northstar Commuter Rail Line Funding Approved
After a lengthy discussion, the board approved a payment in the amount of $1,957,796 as its full and final payment to the Metropolitan Council for the operations of the Northstar Commuter Rail Line for Anoka County for 2022. Contract Amended with Stepping Stone Emergency Housing
To increase the contract maximum and monthly rate, the board approved a contract amendment with Stepping Stone Emergency Housing. Stepping Stone, in Anoka, provides a 66-bed shelter for men and women experiencing homelessness. The State Legislature recently authorized an increase to the base rate of housing supports effective July 1. This funding is built into a cost-neutral transfer allocation from the state and covers room and board costs. For more information on this item, click HERE.
PACE Program Approved
The board received and approved an application for a Property Assessed Clean Energy Program (PACE) for Westgate of Andover, LLC. PACE funding allows commercial property owners to finance energy efficiency and conservation improvements through the use of special assessments. For more information on this item, click HERE.
