Grant Funded Position Approved for Public Health
The board approved the creation of a full-time senior program planner position for the county’s’ Public Health and Environmental Services Department. This position will be funded by a local public health grant from the Minnesota Department of Health. Master Contracts Approved for Appraisal, Demolition Services

County Receives Highest Possible Rating for 2021 Audit
The Office of the State Auditor conducted an exit meeting for the county’s annual audit, and it was noted during this meeting Anoka County received an unmodified opinion for the audit, which is the highest rating obtainable. Contract Approved for Water/Sewer Services at Bunker Hills
The board approved a professional services contract with TKDA for the design, engineering and project management for the Bunker Hills Regional Park water and sewer services. Most of the park is currently served by aging wells and septic systems. Due to the ageing infrastructure the Parks department requested and is receiving about $4.2 million in American Rescue Plan Act funds to connect certain facilities within the park to city water and sewer services. Splash Pad to be Constructed at Bunker Beach
The board approved a design/build contract with Commercial Recreation Specialists for a splash pad at Bunker Beach Water Park in Andover. The park’s sand play structure, which was dated and in poor condition, has been removed and will be replaced with the splash pad. To watch the video on this item, click HERE. Environmental Education Book Donation Accepted
The board accepted a donation of 20 Animal Tracks of the Midwest books, valued at $379, from Adventure Keen. The books will be used for environmental education purposes at upcoming animal tracking day camps and educational programs.
