Palumbo Honored for Years of Service
During the previous regular County Board meeting, several county employees were recognized for their many years of service to Anoka County. Anoka County Attorney Tony Palumbo, who has been with the county for 45 years and is set to retire at the end of this year, was unable to be in attendance at that meeting, so the board took a moment to thank him for his years of service at the Oct. 11 meeting. West Freeway Drive in Columbus to be improved
The board approved a local road improvement program agreement for West Freeway Drive in Columbus and also awarded a contract to Forest Lake Contracting for the reconstruction and realignment of the thoroughfare, north of Lake Drive, in the City of Columbus. Blue-green algae at Centerville Lake discussed
Commissioner Mike Gamache, chair of the Parks Committee, noted the blue-green algae issue that affects Centerville Lake in the summertime was discussed at the Parks Committee meeting. Also discussed was needed fixes to the Rice Creek North bridge. To watch the video on this item, click HERE.
