The Johnsville Library opened in March 1985 and was the first library in Anoka County to operate online as a part of the library's automation system in November 1986. During its first 12 months of operation, this branch circulated nearly 100,000 items. In June 1996 the Johnsville Library moved to a new building. After 20 years in its current site it is still one of the busiest branches in the county. The Johnsville Library hosts the community daily offering a Play and Learn space, reading materials, classes and events, a community meeting room, Wi-Fi, wireless printing, and public computers. The Johnsville Library is located near Highway 65 and Main Street NE in Blaine.
