Anoka County uses the sealed bid method for the sale of tax forfeited properties. The following is the process for submitting a bid.
Request a Sealed Bid Form and envelope either by sending an email request or by calling 763-324-1109 or 763-323-5400.
You must complete the information contained on the Sealed Bid Form. Take a look at the sample bid form (PDF) and then mail or bring the form to the Division of Property Records and Taxation. The envelope must be clearly marked "Land Sale Bid".
Include your check, made payable to Anoka County, for either the amount on Line 4 or line 5.
Your bid must be received in the Division of Property Records and Taxation office by 4:30 p.m. on the day of bid receipt deadline.
If you are submitting bids on more than one parcel, each bid must be on a separate bid form and in a separate sealed bid envelope.
Failure to follow these instructions may result in the rejection of your bid.
Bids will be publicly opened at 9 a.m. in the County Board room at the Government Center on the day of the sale.
Successful bidders will be notified by mail. Unsuccessful bidders will also be notified and their checks will be returned.
