  1. Job Application

    Please allow approximately 30–45 minutes to complete your application. It is important that you include all relevant education, knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience. Application sections may be individually edited, and include:

    • Certify and Submit

    You may edit, save, and return to complete your application at any time, prior to submitting. Once applications have been submitted, further changes cannot be made. In order to be considered for this position, information to support your answers must be certified and submitted by the deadline of 11:59 p.m. on the closing date. A resume attachment is optional and cannot be used in place of this application. 

  2. Verify Your Application

    All applications are submitted electronically, and you will receive an email confirmation upon submission. To verify that you have successfully submitted your application(s), go to Anoka County Career Opportunities and sign in with your email address and password.

  3. Application Deadlines

    The closing date for each Anoka County position recruitment is listed on our Job Opportunities page. All application materials (including Veteran's Preference documentation) must be received by 11:59 p.m on the closing date. Once a position's posted closing time and date has passed, no further applications will be accepted. Some job opportunities are posted as "Continuous." These postings may close at any time. Anoka County is not responsible for internet service outages or other technical failures resulting in unsuccessful application submission.

    Do I need to answer my supplemental questions?

    Responses to the supplemental questionnaire, if required, are considered as part of the application screening process. Be specific when responding to questions. Do not combine answers or use "see above."

    What do I need to apply?

    You need a personal computer with a web browser program and a connection to the Internet. Please allow plenty of time to apply online in case you have technical difficulties with your computer. Do not wait until the last day to apply. If you are having technical difficulties applying for a job online, contact or visit the Anoka County Human Resources Department during business hours. Assistance is also available at your local Workforce Center.

    What do I do if I don't have a computer?

    • Use a computer at a local MN Workforce Center.
    • Use a computer at an Anoka county Library or your local library.
    • Family and friends may have a computer with Internet access available for your use.

    What do I do if I have an email address?

    If you do not already have an email address, free email accounts are available through a number of providers. Anoka County does not endorse any particular provider, but examples of free email providers include: Microsoft, Yahoo, and Google.

    I need to change my contact information, who should I contact?

    You may update your contact information as part of the application. If you have already applied and need to update your contact information for a current posting, contact Human Resources at 763-324-4300, Monday - Friday, during regular business hours of 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
