Educational Programming and Assignments

Anoka County Community Corrections provides educational programming to help juvenile offenders achieve healthy and responsible lives.

Actions for Constructive Thinking (ACT)

ACT is a class taught by the Anoka County Juvenile Probation Officers. This cognitive based class is designed to focus on the client’s thinking skills to assist them in making choices that will lead away from trouble.

Decision Points

Decision Points is an open-entry cognitive behavior intervention program designed for delivery with youth and adult populations in contact with the justice system. The program is built on the principle of the “Strategy of Choices” and equips participants with alternative ways to examine their thinking and the related actions that lead them into trouble. The program targets anti-social thoughts and skill deficits through an interactive cognitive-behavioral approach.

Restorative Justice Program

Outcomes help repair the harm done and address the reasons for the offense. They may meet individually or in a group with MSCA staff.
