How To Obtain

To obtain a certified copy of a marriage certificate from Anoka County, the marriage license must have been purchased in Anoka County.

To obtain a certified copy of a marriage certificate, you will need to provide:

  • Both parties' maiden/prior full name
  • Date of marriage

Marriage Certificate applications can be submitted in a variety of ways:

In person:

At the Vital Records office located in the Government Center at 2100 3rd Ave., Anoka, MN. We have a public service counter where you can request and pay for certificates.

Online:

There are two ways to order online: 

1) Order a marriage certificate online at the MN Official Marriage System (MOMS)® website. Search for the record you need and order it through MOMS®. 

2) Complete the Marriage Certificate Request Form.

  • Download and complete the form.  Save it as a PDF.
  • Visit this pay link to pay for your request and upload your request form.
  • When your payment and order are verified, we will process your request and mail your documents.  

By mail:

Complete the  Marriage Certificate Request Form, and send it with a check or money order to: 

Anoka County - Vital Records, 2100 3rd Ave N, Anoka, MN 55303

Required Fees

  • $9 for each certified copy.
