Refugee Health

Services

Public health services are available to the foreign-born and non-citizen. Services available include help getting medical care, referral to community resources, and education about:

  • Immunizations
  • General health care
  • Understanding the U.S. health care system
  • Well-child care programs
  • Signs and symptoms of illness
  • Pregnancy, postpartum, and newborn care
  • Parenting

Interpreters available upon request.

Refugee Health Assessments

Public Health Staff work with primary providers to assist newly arrived refugees in receiving a comprehensive screening exam and follow-up or referral if needed.
These exams help diagnose health problems and help protect the health of others by treating communicable disease.
