Salvation Army
RSVP Volunteer, Marie Putnam is interviewed by ABC. The story was aired as an effort to raise awareness surrounding the good works accomplished by The Salvation Army and to express the need for additional dedicated volunteers. The Salvation Army is looking to expand its volunteer force to better respond to emergencies and crises in the Twin Cities by adding more volunteers to its emergency disaster team.
Locally the agency provides emergency support and facilitates personal skill building and self-sufficiency. Individuals and families may use the food shelf once every 30 days. Volunteers are needed to assist as food shelf volunteers, receptionists or bread drivers.
