Apply to be a Featured Author

The application to be a Featured Author in 2026 is now closed. Next year's application will open on September 1, 2026. 


The Anoka County Library aims to connect local authors with local readers. As part of this initiative we choose 16 authors to feature each year.  Featured authors are promoted throughout the year in the following ways:

  • Table at the Anoka County Library Local Author Fair 
  • Features on the library website and social media channels 
  • Book promotion with local media
  • Designated displays of MN authors at library branches
  • Collaboration with community partners for events featuring authors
  • Have your book added to the library collection

Submissions must be published within the last 5 years (fiction) or 2 years (nonfiction). EBooks and manuscripts are not eligible.  Current employees of Anoka County, members of the Anoka County Board, and the Anoka County Library Advisory Board, are not eligible.
