Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary loan is used to request titles not owned by Anoka County Library.

Please first verify that Anoka County Library does not own a title by searching the library catalog by author, title, and keyword. If ACL does not own the item and it was published at least six months ago, you may place an online Interlibrary Loan Request using MNLINK.

*As of 12/19/22, all MNLINK users will need to enter their PIN along with their library barcode number in order to login to place a request. This change was implemented for greater data privacy and account protection for patrons. Your PIN is the number you chose when signing up for your library card. To reset your PIN, you can request a new PIN by selecting "Forgot my PIN" on the My Account login screen as long as there is an email address associated with your account. Otherwise, speak with a library staff member to reset your PIN.

ACL will attempt to borrow the item from another library system for your use. Interlibrary loans usually take two to three weeks to receive but may take much longer if not available in a Minnesota library.

For titles published within the last six months, please use the Purchase Suggestion form.

For more local borrowing opportunities, check for availability at other Metro Area Libraries.
